Gossip Girl, Shelving Books, Time Trivia
I tried watching Gossip Girl for the past few nights. It's not a bad show - I like the Serena character quite a lot. Unfortunately I accidentally read through the whole show synopsis on Wikipedia (couldn't help myself, it's a recurring problem) and now I have no interest in watching the show anymore. Ah well. It wasn't interesting enough to sit through, really.
The upshot of today is that I wasn't too productive - didn't finish my differential equations homework. Most of the work day was spent helping my supervisor put up an exhibit on composers who fled Nazi Germany. I hadn't heard of most of them. But I went got a bunch of CDs and scores and aided her quest to make sure each item in the exhibit case was painstakingly straightened. Then I had to shelve all of the rejected items that I'd brought up. That was the hard part. Shelving and shelf-reading are VERY tedious tasks. One must pull tightly shelved scores apart and check all the numbers and attempt not to strain their already sore neck.
I just looked at the time in the corner of my laptop and it read "16-16-16". I love when that happens - or when I look down at my phone and see 17:38. It feels like that happens all the time, but it's probably just a phenomenon of recognizing that number in particular. I'm sure the rest of the numbers are just as frequently observed.
Then I watched some baking videos, talked myself out of buying more chocolate, and tried to shake off the feeling of numb tiredness. I didn't even do much today! In the morning, my lab professor that I'm terrified of sent an email requesting some data that I took last week. It took me about an hour to transcribe it all. But at least I got that done. I am going to go back to my room and return all my library books, as well as take a walk near the lake. Soak up as much sun as I can, since tomorrow will be snowy and miserably cold. New York is supposed to get rain over the weekend, too. Just my luck.
When will spring come?
